Dr. Sabine Callarez, better known as Narkissa, is a powerful Chimera that claims a dominion within the northern side of Blueberry. She is a former researcher under Dr. Anna Strylsko of the Genesis Labs under Project: Revenant. She began a career in Elysium Pharmaceuticals after being offered a position in sequence from an application by Dr. Hans Boetticher—another prolific researcher under Strylsko's wing. She was, at the time, offered internship as a fresh graduate from the University of Los Santos — San Andreas (ULSA) upon which was she quick to accept. Callarez spent most of her time within the laboratories in the dark until she was roped towards the conduction of ruthless experiments that involved the innocent. To prevent her from letting her moral side win—Elysium Corp's entities held her family in hostage to serve as the leverage of her cooperation. Left without much of a choice—Sabine took part in the creation of ruthless hunters & murderers, otherwise known as the Chimera.
Prior to the intervention of the DEA & the dissolution of Elysium Corporation—Sabine became recognized for her extraordinary work. Hence, on the onset of the apocalypse & after the dissolution of Elysium—she was assigned in Mexico to work on a genetic make up that would reverse the effects brought about by chimeric mutagens. With her family still held under the custody of Elysium—they formed an independent cell of researchers including those from the Sanctuary solely in dedication towards finding this cure under Project: Antithesis. Their whole operation engulfed a recurrent theme of failure, forcing Boetticher to drag upon desperate measures. Boetticher, alongside Callarez and the rest placed test subject PA-052 under experimentation. It subsequently fails, causing the creation of the Nightwalkers. Sabine, alongside many other researchers, became exposed to PA-052's virus & eventually became one of the progenitors of the exact creature they vowed to cure.
Sabine went through a tormenting thirty minute duration during the descent. Her eyes gushed with blood, her own blood began to increase in acidity and her entire body began to suffer in a pseudo rigor mortis—causing the immune system to go berserk & attack tissues in and out. Right after the transition—she was quick to suffer an immense hunger for human flesh. Sabine, although still able to recall her past memories, became nearly devoid of emotion & began to slaughter innocent survivors to satisfy her abnormal hunger. Conversely, many of her colleagues had weaker systems & helplessly succumbed to the potency of the mutation. To avoid detection from Elysium neonates or whatever, or whoever remains of it—she became Narkissa. Her top priority is survival. The humanity in her, although somewhat still there, drastically lessened. This made her more of a rabid animal that operates mainly out of instinct.
