"When all the accomplishments you achieved disapear to hell, you'd take any chance to get them back."

Max was born into the apocalypse, like many others. His father was one of the police survivors of the outbreak - most of the aforementioned survivors deserted the struggling faction, either seeking a career in banditry or to seek refuge in the small settlements. However, the few that left decided to hold out together under the dark blue uniform and badge - and Max's father was one of them. Max was taught how to use a gun from an early age since it's a necessity in today's world. It's Kill or be killed after all - am I wrong? Guess not.
Max lived his teen years learning how to ration ammunition and supplies, even though he was taught to use a gun he was never given a loaded one till he became sixteen. Which is when the so-called /LSPD resistance/ officially started drafting the children of the officers for an apocalyptic /academy/ where their skillsets and traits would be tested. Distinguish the strong from the weak. It was not too long till Max graduated from the survival quest, however.. He had to see some of his friends either overrun by zombie hordes or get Killed in action.

Max felt proud of himself, and so did his parents. But he knew, happiness doesn't last forever - especially thirty years deep into an apocalypse.
Nightmares haunted him, and the souls of his deceased comrades accompany him on each scavenging operation - they stand before him every time he killed a walker. Constantly hearing voices in his head... "Hell is coming".. "Nobody is coming to save you".. "Sacrifice the weak".. "Cull the herd"... He's starting to have enough of it - it's like the actual past is haunting him, wanting him to stand before it.

Max started feeling a homicidal rage inside of him, the fire just kept growing and growing. He doesn't know why... Every time he sees a stranger he grows angry and feels the urge to attack him. Fortunately, the other resistance members have grown aware of this, and got a doctor to inspect Max - he was given proper medication, well - the most proper from what's left from the low medical stock. He got better and better, till this was no longer a problem. But he felt an emptiness inside of him instead, he thought that he served no purpose.

As Max knew, no happiness lasts forever. Since the resistance members were foolish enough to reside in the same place that was their main headquarters, LSPD HQ. The former-police bandits managed to breach through the primal defenses, killing off anybody that was in their way. Max was prepared for this moment, he was ready to bail out at any moment something would happen - he took his bag from the locker after he heard the grunting of his father from pain then a wave of bullets being released out of their hell cannons, and escaped through the garage door without looking behind.

In the present, Max manages his way inside of Scarville - even though he is not an official citizen, he still got to know the locals and gain somewhat of a name for himself. He is /jobless/, or atleast... That's what he wants the people of Scarville to think. He just lives in the rooftops of the settlement, right?
